how's your news?

My friend Luke showed me this dvd last summer.
This netflix must is a documentary that follows around the How's your new's crew across the country. The film was so incredible awesome it spawned a new MTV series.
Ron Simonsen is my favorite character. Ron's obsessed with Chad Everett who played Dr. Joe Gannon on the TV melodrama Medical Center (1969-19760) Ron has since befriended chad and they speak on the phone each week. Ron even wrote and composed a song dedicated to Chad.

how's your news?

And if you dig hows your news you'll love Heavy Load
Follow around a mentally challenged Rock/Punk band as they face the trials and tribulations of moderate success head on. They might not win your ears but they will win your heart.

confessions of a superhero

Chalk this one up on your net Felix.
We watched Confessions of a superhero last night.
It's basically a documentary about the Hollywood lookalikes/Superheros that hang around out front of the Chinese theatre and pose with tourists for "Tips". Angry Batman was my fave and Superman, he's something else, buddies apt is filled, FILLED with nothing but superman collectibles. I think my favorite part was his smoking, it was so wrong, haha.

the sound track of our lives communion dobble lp

Of course I'm going to focus on the record cover, first things first, it's fucking insane. Another bazaar, off the cuff, misleading masterpiece of cover art/photography from TSOOL. And just when you thought it was over, open it up and it gets even more wild. Also, vinyl fans look out! It's a double LP of over and hour and a half of music and a downloading voucher for the digital record and unreleced tracks.
I've been anxiously waiting for this record to come out for a few years now so I'm stoked. I read a few long winded reviews so I'll keep this one short.
TSOOL is a great rock band that make amazing albums that flow from start to finish.
Not punk, not metal so beware. Just a good rock band!

new poster pop stickers

Stickers, stickers, stickers. Why have I always been obsessed with stickers?
I like 'em more that toys and t shirts, I don't know why? I started with Wacky Packs for me and Skate stickers in the 80's. To me a character is borne with a sticker, it's were it all starts. Sticker-T-Shirt-Toy-Skateboard-Poster-Painting.
I did this set about 2 years ago, come to think of it it might have been 3?
Poster Pop has allot on their plate so things always take a long ass while but they put out the quality shit. So if you want 'em they got 'em! POSTER POP

sum mags i dig/dug past and present

As I was scanning these in a wave of nostalgia came over me.
Flipping threw the articles and adds. These are a small few of my favorite mags from my collection over the years. Oldish to fairly recent. I'm a bit of a mag buff. I enjoy magazines over books and TV. They are like records to me. The Thrasher article on Robert Williams blew my mind, I got that baby off the shelf for cover price back in the day. All summer long was the "Holy Fuck!" of magazine scores. My wife Oriana got that for me. (Thanks best wife ever babe!) Each of these mags I hold dear to my heart.
I hope to post way more in the future and maybe dissect the rare ones a little but come to think about it that's allot of work and I have allot of work to do so it might not happen. Fuck why did I even scan these in? I don't know, to share something I guess?
That said I have allot of rad shit to post this week so hoping I can git to it?
Later sk8r.

24 inch shogun warriors

24 inch Shogun Warriors are the best. Even though Godzilla wasn't quite '24 he was still the cool toy on the block. That fist, if fired at the right time actually hurts!
Anyway, this is my small collection of large toys.

weird-ohs cards

Holy Shit of cool!!! I found these in a store the other day while shopping with Oriana.
You remember walking into a store as a kid to by a pack gum cards and only being able to get a pack or two? Well now I'm a big kid so I bought two fucking boxes.
