Another youtube vid shot at the pacific pinball expo.
It's pretty shaky but it runs threw the game and shows the detail pretty good.

tapes
When I was in Ottawa I dug threw some of my old junk stored at the folks house.
I found these jems, tapes that I bought back in the day that survived all this time.
The AC$DC Powerage I listened to every day on my walkman. All threw one hellish winter when I was 16 working at the Dirty Bird. (KFC) I guess the real cool thing about these is that they are the actual tapes I bought back then and not a nostalgic e bay score or thrift store find. In a way, to me they are priceless. I still listen to this stuff, I never stopped. It's just cool to see it in this format again.

8 years
Just realized today this is my 8th year in San Francisco.
When I first came here is was to do murals and paint the hell out of Metallica's studio.
I was here for 6 moths and pretty much never left. Soon after I met a girl in a little boutique on Haight st. She told me she was from NY and tried to sell me pants. Her name was Oriana, we got married.
It's been a good decade.

j and e grosery
I have some friends From Rochester NY and it just so happens I grew up in Ottawa Canada where we got Rochester TV. The best being the commercials. House of guitars, Wegmans and J&E groceries.
We used to recite the J&E Grocery commercials "and the weekly specials are…"
When researching J&E the first thing I found was this blog and it made me laugh.
He basically did the most kick ass J&E grocery blog so I figured I would just link it with a quot.
cricketbread blog
"My brother and I would make fun of the commercials all the time, and it was impossible to say J&E Grocery without saying the full address. It was something about the guy’s voice in the commercial that made it impossible to separate it. There are many, many people that I know who grew up with these commercials as well as a handful of bloggers who have had the same observation. This was, in my opinion, a genius piece of marketing. This corner store with a limited advertising budget puts out these crappy ads with crappy pictures and with a guy you could barely understand, and here I am writing about it a million years later. Most businesses only dream about having that kind of marketing meme in place. When you said the name you had to say the address…"

a decade of dirty bee
I did this in 2000. I know because I signed it '2000. Otherwise I don't think I would have remembered when the hell I did it.
In the 90's you could not get a Dodge Super Bee T shirt anywhere so I sat down and drew my own rendition. Motor brands now carries the super bee and other mopar T's.
I guess this is my new year post. Happy 10 years of Dirty Bee.
